Wizkid wins MOBO award

Wizkid won the Best African Act award at the 17th annual Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards which took place in Scotland last night.

After the announcement was made, Wizkid tweeted his excitement: “#TEAMWIZKID we did it!!..now let's get the EMA!!!!...God bless every1 dat voted!!!...wow!!!”.

Wizkid is also nominated for a MTV European Music Award and a Channel O Award, both shows taking place next month.

Wizkid was nominated in the Best African Act category alongside D’Banj, Seun Kuti, Cheikh Lo and Fatoumata Diawara.
